Biography
From digitalization pioneer to biodiversity advocate: Rethinking business — for a life-serving future.
For over 30 years, he has been working at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and corporate management. Whether as the founder of Germany’s first e-commerce offerings, as a mentor at Axel Springer & Porsche Accelerator, or as the founder and managing director of be ventures Berlin GmbH – his motivation has always been to shape change.
Today, he dedicates this experience to one of the most pressing tasks of our time: the transformation to a regenerative agriculture and market economy in which economic activity does not consume ecological resources, but restores them.Â
His focus: Bees as seismographs of our future. As chair of the Aurelia Foundation, he sees the organization as “advocates for bees.” Bees are the link in our ecosystem. Their survival ensures our development. Together with his team, he develops strategies to anchor the protection of pollinators in politics and society—because saving bees means saving the foundation of our civilization.
His mission: Scaling regenerative agriculture and business. He firmly believes that we are the masters of our own future. Through his roles at the United Sustainability Group and the Initiative Regenerative Marktwirtschaft e.V., he is working to channel private capital into infrastructural and bioecological projects. His goal is to establish business models that respect planetary boundaries while securing basic needs worldwide.
What sets him apart:
-
Experience: 30 years of expertise as an entrepreneur, managing director, and investor (including be ventures Berlin GmbH).
-
Mentor & lecturer: Passionate supporter of startups (APX, EIT Food, Founder Institute) to shape the next generation of responsible founders.
-
Bridge builder: He connects the dynamism of the startup scene with the stability of small and medium-sized businesses and the urgency of nature conservation.
When he is not working on transforming the agricultural economy, he recharges his batteries by exercising outdoors or spending time with his family — where he learns new things every day about what really matters.Â
He looks forward to discussing regenerative business models, biodiversity, and sustainable investments.Â
He is committed to setting the course together and jointly creating a life-serving agriculture and economy for the future.
