Georg is an experienced non-executive director with 45 years of experience in banking, including more than 20 years in senior management.   He is a recognized expert in sustainable finance.

Georg chairs the supervisory board of Umweltbank AG , is member of the supervisory board of Oikocredit U.A. , a member of the Diocesan Asset Management Board of the Diocese of Eichstätt and Chair of the Sustainability Committee of BarmeniaGothaer Insurance.  

Previously he was Managing Director of Triodos Bank N.V Deutschland, Frankfurt, and non-executive board member of Sustainalytics B.V., Amsterdam, and had various positions in retail and private banking and SME business at Deutsche Bank AG.  

Through his work at Triodos Bank since 2009, Georg has been intensively involved in the development of sustainable finance and impact investing. As a member of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee from 2019 to 2025, he also advised the German federal government.
