Gelkha Buitrago steers the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sector Program that includes the development of Sector Standards for 40 sectors. She is also a member of the B Lab’ Standards Advisory Council.  Gelkha brings over two decades of experience in sustainability, international development and multi-stakeholder set-ups in global organizations like the Global Coffee Platform and Fairtrade International and local organizations like the National Planning Department in Colombia.  Gelkha is an Economist and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia) and postgraduate certificate on Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge. She speaks Spanish, English, and French and is based out of Bonn, Germany.
