Achieving SDGs 7 (“clean and affordable energy”) and 12 (“sustainable consumption and production”) is crucial for sustainable development. These goals are interconnected: the circular economy depends on energy, and energy system components, such as batteries, rely on resources from the circular economy. This presentation aims to identify these connections and showcase the necessary technologies, whether emerging from research or already in practice. Additionally, these technologies will be evaluated within the overall concept for their resource use, emissions, and economic viability.
