Petersberg / Bonn. December 11, 2024 – In the historic setting of the Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel & Spa, the EUPD Group presented the ESG Transparency Award for the second time as part of European Sustainability Week on December 11. Held for the first time at European level, the award recognizes organizations that excel in transparent sustainability reporting.
“This award confirms that advanced ESG reporting is more than a regulato necessity; it is a sign of leadership and forward thinking. We congratulate the award-winning companies that prove that sustainable commitment and economic success go hand in hand and that transparency in reporting paves the way for a sustainable future,” said Markus A.W. Hoehner, Founder and CEO of the EUPD Group.
This year’s award winners demonstrate the diversity and commitment of companies across Europe. Each of these companies has distinguished itself through a transparent and comprehensive presentation of its sustainability commitments. Among the companies honored across Europe are industry leaders such as the Swiss Breitling and the Danish Bang & Olufsen. Other companies that received awards include soccer club Borussia Dortmund, TÜV SÜD, Zwilling and the Feralpi Group from Italy, known for its leading role in steel production and sustainability initiatives. All award winners can be viewed on the award website.
The evaluation was carried out according to the ESG Transparency Evaluation Standard, which integrates complex requirements from regulatory, stakeholder and shareholder perspectives, as well as risks and opportunities. The ESG Transparency Committee, made up of leading ESG managers from award-winning companies, specifically weighted the relevance of the thr sustainability areas – environmental, social and governance.
Aurelia Figueroa, Chief of Sustainability from Breitling, commented: “At Breitling, sustainability is anchored in transparency. We are honoured to receive the ESG Transparency Award, which recognizes our progress and drives us to advance transparency in the industry.”
The presentation of the certificates took place in an international setting and provided the framework for the ESG Summit, a conference that brings together leading figures from the European sustainability sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities of sustainable corporate governance.

About the ESG Transparency Award
The ESG TRANSPARENCY AWARD honors European organizations that have already anchored forward-looking sustainability concepts in their company and communicate these transparently in the form of a sustainability report. These pioneers serve as role models because they change the world and prove that profitability and sustainability are not opposites, but successful strategies for future worth living.
